Day 01 : Chandigarh
Our representative will pick up you at the Chandigarh Airport. The first view of the city will draw your attention. Night Halt at a hotel. This is the first well planned city in India after independence. Served as the capital of two states, Punjab and Haryana, Chandigarh is a Union Territory of India. It is the cleanest city in India and known for its architecture and urban planning.
Day 02 : Chandigarh - Manali (320 kms / 8hrs drive)
On the second day of Himalayan hill safari, you will be taken to Manal via Mandi and Kullu. Enroute you will see the Kullu town, the capital of Kullu district offering breathtaking views of nature and buildings. On arrival at Manali you would be accommodated at a hotel. The rest of the time is at leisure.
Manali hill station is a popular destination for adventure sports like skiing, hiking, mountaineering, paragliding, rafting, trekking, kayaking, and mountain biking. This is mostly famous for yak sports.
Day 03 : Manali
Explore Manali today. Visit the Hadimba Temple, Vashisht Bath, and Jagat Sukh, etc. Walk past the Manali town. Enjoy yak safari. There are spots for adventure sports like paragliding, trekking, skiing, mountaineering, rock climbing, angling, ice skating and jeep safari. You can try any one of them. Shopping is also a not to be missed in Manali. The local markets are hub of Himalayan handicrafts and woolen products.
Day 04 : Manali-Jispa via Keylong (150 kms)
Your Himalayan adventure tour will take you to Jispa via Rohtang Pass and Keylong. Driving experience on the mountain roads is sure to be an adventure. Reaching Jispa take accommodation for overnight stay. Jispa is a stopover on the way to Ladakh when tourists visiting from Manali.
Day 05 : Jispa - Sarchu (114-6 hours)
Drive to Sarchu via Baralacha-la. The Enroute landscapes will thrill you. Sarchu is a tented camp used as an accommodation for the tourists. During the winter months the Manali-Leh Highway and Sarchu camp are closed due to snowfall. This spot is also served as a starting point for trekkers who trek to Zanskar region of Ladakh.
Day 06 : Sarchu-Leh (220 kms)
Drive to Leh, the capital town of the Ladakh region. You would drive through Tanglang-La, the second highest road in the world. The altitude of the road is about 5350 meters. While driving through the high altitude roads, you would cross the mountain slopes and the valleys below. On arrival at Leh take a hotel. Complete rest till evening.
Day 07 : Leh
Leh is home to Buddhist monasteries, you see here the Tibetan Buddhist way of life. This awfully beautiful hill station is a major tourist hub in summer. Early morning drive to Thiksey Monastery and see the morning praying ceremony. Also visit the Hemis Monastery, one of the famous monasteries in India belongs to the Drupka Lineage. Ladakhi king Senge Namgyal reestablished the Hemis Monastery in 1672. This Tibetan monastery houses a wide assortment of ancient relics.
Afternoon visit the King’s Palace, Leh Mosque, Leh Gompa, and Shankar Gompa. Explore the local markets of Leh. After dinner, stay overnight.
Day 08 : Leh–Khardungla–Leh
As a part of your Himalayan adventure tour, drive to Khardungala Top, the world’s highest motorable road perched at a height of 5600 meters. This top offers a breathtakingly beautiful view of Leh and Nubra valley. Take photographs. Afternoon drive back to Leh hotel.
Day 09 : Leh–Delhi
On the last day of Himalayan Adventure Safari, depart to Leh airport to take the flight to Delhi and then board your flight to onward destination.
