You must be physically fit to trek to Hemkund Sahib. It is 19 kms trek from Govind Ghat and 6 kms trek from Govind Dham. Carry rain-coat, first-aid kit, wind-sheeter, water-bottle, sweater, torch and cell and other important things like gloves, neckerchief/muffler, cloth-boots, scissor, chappal, etc. "

Day 01 : Delhi- Haridwar
Arrive in Delhi and drive to Haridwar, the gateway destination to Char Dham Pilgrimage. Reaching Haridwar, take the hotel. Take rest till evening. In the evening visit the temple and enjoy evening Aarti at the Har ka Pauri Ghat. After dinner, stay overnight.
Day 02 : Haridwar -Barkot
After breakfast drive to Barkot. Lunch will be served at a Mussoorie restaurant. Continue drive to the Kempty Falls and then to Barkot. On Arrival take the guest house or hotel. After dinner, stay overnight.
Day 03 : Barkot - Yamunotri - Barkot (32 Kms. Drive + 10 kms. Local Taxi + 6 Kms. Trek, one way)
On the 3rd day itinerary of Char Dham pilgrimage you will proceed towards Yamunotri. Post breakfast drive to Hanuman Chatti, reaching Hanuman Chatti take a Local Jeep to Janki Chatti, and then trek 6 kms to Yamunotri.
On arrival take a holy dip in the pond and then have darshan of Yamuna. Yamunotri temple is dedicated to the goddess Yamuna. Then again back to Barkot.
Day 04 : Barkot - Harsil (152kms, 6 -7 hrs)
Post breakfast drive to Harsil. Halt for a while at Uttarkashi for lunch. Continue drive to towards Harsil, a beautiful mountain valley. On arrival check in at a hotel. After dinner, stay overnight.
Day 05 : Harsil - Gangotri – Uttarkashi (22 kms to Gangotri)
Have breakfast at the hotel. Then continue drive to Gangotri, the origin of Ganga River. Hindus visit Gangotri in great devotion to demystify the beliefs related to Ganga. It is said that Ganga wants to come down to earth in full force, so Lord Shiva receives the waters of Ganga into his matted locks. A Shivlinga is seen amidst the water of Ganga.
Reaching take a holy dip in the Ganga and have darshan of Ganga Maya. Offer prayers to the goddess. Then drive to Uttarkashi and take the rest house or hotel.
Day 06 : Uttarkashi -Guptkashi, 283 kms. Drive (9 - 10 hrs)
After breakfast proceed to Guptakashi. Enroute visit the Tehri Dam and the heritage city. Continue drive and have view of the Mandakini River. Reach Guptakashi and take the hotel.
Day 07 : Guptakashi -Kedarnath (32 kms Drive, 14 kms trek)
Post breakfast drive to Gaurikund (32 kms drive-one way). Then trek to Kedarnath, the remotest dham of Char Dham. On arrival take the tourist lodge or ashram for overnight stay. Today visit the Adi Shankaracharya Samadhi.
Day 08 : Kedarnath - Joshimath (Trek 14 kms, drive 200 kms)
Early morning have the darshan of Kedarnath shrine. Kedarnath is one of the Panch Kedars. Legend says that Lord Shiva hides at Kedarnath in pseudo of a bull when Pandavas follows him to pardon their sins after the Kurukhetra war. The main shrine is a stone edifice.
Then start you trekking journey to Gaurikund and on arrival drive to Joshimath. Reaching, check in at the camp.
Joshimath was the first matt established by Shri Adi Sankara located at a scenic location. Adi Guru attained enlightenment here. Joshimath houses temples of Lord Narasimha and Lord Vasudev (different forms of Lord Vishnu). This sacred spot is one of the 108 Divya Desams (sung by Sacred Vaishnavaite Saints). It is 42 kms away from Badrinath.
Day 09 : Joshimath - Badrinath -Joshimath (Drive 90 kms)
Post breakfast, drive to Badrinath dham. On arrival have the darshan of the Badrinath shrine. Badrinath is one of the Panch Badris related to the myths of Lord Vishnu.
After the Darshan, visit the Mana village located on the edge of the Tibetan border. Drive back to Joshimath and stay overnight.
Day 10 : Joshimath - Govind Ghat-Gangaria (21 kms between Joshimath and Govind Ghat)
Drive to Govind Ghat. Then Trek to Gangaria, the trekking point to Hemkund Shahib. Reaching stay at a camp.
Day 11 : Gangaria-Hemkund Shahib-Gangaria
Trek from Gangaria to Sri Hemkund Sahib. You have to cross the hilly terrains. The canopy of Himalayan Mountains will thrill you. The path is arduous. You can hire Doli or horse to cover some distance. Reaching, have the darshan of the shrine.
Then trek back to Gangaria. Take complete rest.
Day 12 : Gangaria -Govindghat- Joshimath
Morning trek back to Govindghat. Then drive to Joshimath.On arrival, take the camp. Today you can explore the temples at Joshimath.
Day 13 : Joshimath- Rishikesh
Post breakfast drive to Rishikesh, the Hindu pilgrimage abode located on the bank of the River Ganga. If you want you can explore the spectacular view of Devprayag, the confluence of the rivers Alaknanda and Bhagirathi.
Reaching, take the hotel. In the evening visit Laxamn Jhulla and Ram Jhulla. Rishikesh is home to temples and ashrams of the yoga gurus.
Day 14 : Rishikesh-Delhi
On the concluding day of Char Dham pilgrimage with Hemkund Sahib, drive to Delhi and on arrival transfer to the hotel.
