Day 01 : Arrival at Cochin
After reaching at Cochin by flight, you will be greeted by Divino Indian Memoirz representative. You are going to embark on the wonderful backwater tour of Kerala. You will be transferred to a hotel. You will stay for two nights in Cochin. This place is blessed with natural harbors along the Arabian coast. It has amazing heritage born out of syncretism of different cultural influences. Cochin has the earliest European settlement in India. The British, French and other Europeans came much later during 15th and 16th centuries. The Romans came to Kerala as early as 3rd century BC. There is an oldest church in Kochi.

Day 02 : Cochin
After having your breakfast, you set out for a sightseeing tour of Kochi. You would visit the Jewish Synagogue built in 1568. Explore the Dutch Palace which was originally built the Portuguese. It has fine collection of frescoes. Visit the oldest church in India. It was built by the Europeans. You would also visit the Fort Cochin where the Chinese fishing nets have been lined. It is said that some traders got these nets from the court of the Kublai Khan. Explore the Hill museum which has rich collection of historical artifacts specimens. Watch the Kathakali Dance which enacts themes from the epics, Ramayana and Mahabharata. The dancers express vast kaleidoscope of emotions by their facial expressions.

Day 03 : Cochin - Thekkady
After having your breakfast, you will go to Thekkady. This journey takes five hours to make. It is very scenic dotted as it is with tea gardens. There are also coffee and spice gardens. It is situated near the Periyar wildlife sanctuary with lush grasslands. You are going to stay here for two days. On reaching at Thekkady, you will check into a hotel. Dinner and stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 04 : Thekkady
In the morning, you will go for a boat ride on the Periyar Lake. You will see various wild animals like Elephants, deers and countless water birds while you are on the boat ride that passes through Periyar Lake. You will get to see the game viewing for two times, once in the morning and another in the afternoon. After this fascinating day of game viewing, you will get back to the hotel. Have dinner and retire for the night.

Day 05 : Thekkady - Alleppey
After having your breakfast, you will embark on a journey to Alleppey. It will take 3 hour to reach there. On reaching there, you will check into a houseboat. You will stay for one night at the houseboat. Alleppey is very beautiful with its lagoons, lakes and fresh water rivers running trough it. It is also called as the Venice of the East. Moreover, you will also see the great flora and fauna of the place.

Day 06 : Alleppey - Kovalam
In the morning, you will leave the houseboat at Alleppey and drive to Kovalam. It is a journey of four years. On reaching there, you will check into a hotel for two nights. Kovalam has a great beach with vast expanse of golden land along with azure waters of Arabian Sea and green coconut groves. There are three wonderful beaches. The place has many bars and restaurants. Here you can sample various cuisines like fresh seafood, Chinese and Continental food, etc.

Day 07 : Kovalam
This day of your fantastic Kerala backwaters tour is going to be completely reserved for leisure and independent activities of travelers. No cares are booked and no plans of sightseeing tours.

Day 08 : Kovalam / Trivandrum Departure
After breakfast, our representative will transfer you to Trivandrum Airport from where you will board the flight for your onward journey. The wonderful backwater tour of Kerala has come to an end.
